Hello i am Chris.
A passionate photographer based out of
New York, Raleigh NC & the Dominican Republic but not limited to the World.
i Specialize in Black & White Monochrome Photography with a Journalistic style.
My passion is encapsulating life as it unfolds naturally.
It's Simple... While life unfolds. I Capsulate Memories.
I capture the moments most people never notice —
the unposed, unfiltered, deeply human stories happening between the frames.
Through black-and-white candid journalistic photography,
I preserve these fleeting instances as timeless “time CapSouls,”
creating images that hold emotion, memory, and
meaning long after the moment has passed.
My work isn’t about staging perfection —
it’s about honoring real life, real connection, and
the beauty that exists when no one realizes the camera is watching.
I have always had a profound interest in everything
mechanical and analog from a very young age.
As a kid i would take apart my toys and study the way they where made
and the way they worked, it completely fascinated me.
This fascination has followed me throughout my life in just about every way.
Soon enough... a mechanical analog camera was in my hands.
Everything about the mechanics of the way the camera functioned consumed me entirely.
Being able to capture moments in time with a mechanical marvel
just made it that much more magical.
I began by shooting photos of
family members, friends, nature and things i found interesting.
Before i knew it i started developing my own style.
I began developing a passion for capturing special
moments in time,
moments most have no idea are occurring.
A journalistic approach.
I grew to fall in love with Black & White Monochrome Photography.
Black & White photography is soul,
the lack of colors forces much more concentration on the story of the image.
The purpose, the details, the unfolding of characters and scenery.
The story that is told when viewing the image.
Essentially time traveling, time traveling to that moment, to that time...
to that feeling.
The passion just grew deeper with every shutter click.
Capturing moments in time through a lens creating life long memories
feels natural to me.
Doing so with a mechanical marvel made it so much more passionate for me.
Over many years of fine tuning my style
a combination of lens' and cameras have helped me fine tune my
photography with precision and passion.
Deciding on a career in photography
was an easy choice,
giving someone something special enough
to be cherished for years to come is incredibly rewarding.
Doing so with love and passion is simply amazing.
Over a decade later i find myself capturing moments with a smile on my face,
knowing the moments i capsulate will give those in them memories for
generations to come.
A "CapSoul" that will last many lifetimes.
